TMI offers the 6-12 AMI Elementary Diploma course in an AMI approved blended and accessible format that offers the same high-quality AMI training and that follows best practices for adult distance learning. The expectations and quality of work are consistent with in-person delivery of an AMI diploma course, for both the students and the training staff. One of the key components of this new format is that many of the lectures will be offered in a more self-paced way, thus empowering the learner and allowing us to best serve a variety of different types of learners. For example, usage of videos within the course content allows for repeated viewings, slowing down the speaker, pausing to understand, and subtitling. The synchronous and in-person time with the AMI Elementary trainer focuses on the less tangible aspects of the training course, which we find  translate to the more important aspects of running an elementary classroom. Examples include the trainer presenting in practicals and modeling how we interact with one another in the environment, allowing for a focus on community building and presenting for understanding. The aspects of community building and modeling lead to more significant transformation of the adult at the elementary level and dramatically improve student outcomes.
